Molly Brown

Enjoy the pictures, but be sure to read Molly's own words.

Taken before we got her from Animal Trustees of Austin (which was on June 15, 2002)

Same pose, but a little older and less puppyish

What we like to call her Presidential pose: "Madam President, the Chiefs of Staff are waiting for an answer."

Her close-up, nostrils and all

Molly's Holiday Letter

We heard from the ATA around the holidays (2002) and they asked us to send them a letter about how Molly's doing in her new home. Molly Brown was so happy to hear from them that she immediately sat down with pen in paw to write a reply to her old pals. We've included her reply.

Hi everyone!

I hope you're all doing great. Since you last saw me, I've moved in with a new family that loves me very much.

There's a dog park near my house, and Mom and Dad take me there every once in a while so I can run like the wind.

Mom and Dad got me training with a great guy named Lee Mannix, and I'm learning a lot. I even learned how to ring a bell with my nose when I need to go outside.

Last year, they took me to a Halloween costume contest (dressed as a bride) at the Groovy Dog Bakery, and I won third place! I'm still trying to polish off the 3 pounds of biscuits I won! And we just got back from a road trip to see my grandma, which was pretty fun, even if I did have to be in the car 9 hours each way!

The only bad thing is that Mom and Dad are suckers, and they were talked into taking in an abandoned kitten. The sucker business works in my favor a lot of the time, so I guess I can learn to deal with the kitten.

Speaking of, I think I better go see what she's up to...

Happy new year and best wishes to everyone!
